This 8-day Da Nang and Hoi An family beach holiday mixes easy sightseeing with time on the sand, staying in just two hotels: three nights by My Khe Beach in Da Nang and four nights in Hoi An, a short walk from the old town. Days out to Ba Na Hills, My Son Sanctuary and the Cham Islands are balanced with free afternoons and a full free day, at a pace that suits children.
What makes this package worth it
- Only two hotel changes. Three nights in Da Nang and four in Hoi An mean less packing, and the transfers between the airport, the two towns and the sights are all under an hour.
- A day the children will remember. At Ba Na Hills the cable car climbs over the forest to the Golden Bridge and the French Village, and the afternoon is spent at Fantasy Park, a large indoor amusement park.
- Sightseeing that ends early. The Da Nang city tour and the My Son and Cam Thanh day both finish back at the hotel by about 2:30 PM, leaving the afternoon for the beach or the pool.
- Hands-on countryside fun. In Cam Thanh the family rides a round bamboo basket boat through the water-coconut palms, watches the boatmen cast their nets and tries crab fishing.

On arrival
Welcome to Vietnam. Your HYNA guide and driver are waiting in the arrival hall at Da Nang International Airport, and your hotel is only about 15 minutes away.
Afternoon
After check-in, the rest of the day is yours. The long, soft sand of My Khe Beach lies just across the road, perfect for a first swim with the children or a walk along the water as the sun goes down.

Morning
Your guide and driver meet you at your hotel around 8:00 AM for the drive to Ba Na Hills, about 45 minutes west of the city. Ride one of the world’s longest cable cars up the mountain, gliding over thick forest as the air grows cooler.
At the top, walk across the Golden Bridge, held up by two giant stone hands, then explore the French Village, with its cobbled streets, town square and stone church, a reminder that the French once came to these hills to escape the summer heat.
Midday
Lunch around midday is a buffet at a restaurant in Ba Na Hills.
Afternoon
The children can spend the afternoon at Fantasy Park, a large indoor amusement park full of rides and games, while you enjoy the flower gardens and mountain viewpoints. Ride the cable car back down in the late afternoon, and you are back at your hotel by about 5:00 PM.
DAY 3: DA NANG DAY TOUR

Morning
Your guide and driver meet you at your hotel around 8:30 AM. The Marble Mountains are a cluster of limestone and marble hills full of caves, pagodas and hidden shrines, with a viewpoint over the city and the coast. An elevator saves little legs part of the climb.
Then drive up the Son Tra Peninsula to Linh Ung Pagoda, where the tall white Lady Buddha statue gazes out over the sea.
Midday
Lunch around midday is at a local restaurant.
Afternoon
After lunch, stop along the Han River for photos of the Dragon Bridge, the golden dragon that has become the symbol of the city. You are back at your hotel by about 2:30 PM, with the afternoon free for the beach or the pool.
DAY 4: DA NANG TO HOI AN

Enjoy a relaxed morning at the beach or pool, then check out.
Afternoon
Your guide and driver meet you at the hotel around 2:00 PM for the 45-minute drive south to Hoi An. Check in to your hotel, a short walk from the old town. In the late afternoon, walk the UNESCO-listed lanes with your guide: mustard-yellow merchant houses, carved Chinese assembly halls and the Japanese Covered Bridge tell the story of a port where traders from China, Japan and Europe once met.
Evening
As evening falls, hundreds of silk lanterns light up along the Hoai River, and the children can pick out their favourite colours. You are back at your hotel by about 7:00 PM, free to enjoy dinner in town at your own pace.
DAY 5: MY SON SANCTUARY & COCONUT VILLAGE DAY TOUR

Morning
Your guide and driver meet you at your hotel around 7:30 AM for the drive inland to My Son, about 1 hour away. The early start means cooler air for exploring the UNESCO-listed ruins of the Champa kingdom’s religious centre: red-brick temple towers built between the 4th and 13th centuries, standing in a green valley ringed by mountains.
Then head back towards Hoi An to Cam Thanh and climb into a round bamboo basket boat. Glide through the water-coconut palms, watch the boatmen spin their boats and cast their nets, and let the family try their luck at crab fishing.
Midday
Lunch around 1:00 PM is at a local restaurant in Cam Thanh. You are back at your hotel by about 2:30 PM.

The rest of the afternoon is free to rest or swim.
DAY 6: CHAM ISLANDS TOUR

Morning
Your guide and driver meet you at your hotel around 7:30 AM for the 15-minute ride to Cua Dai pier.
A speedboat carries you about 25 minutes across the sea to the Cham Islands, a marine protected area and UNESCO biosphere reserve. Walk through the small fishing village on the main island to see how the islanders live, then continue by boat to a sheltered beach. The water here is calm and clear, a gentle place for the family to swim and snorkel over the coral and spot the fish below.
Midday
Lunch around midday is fresh seafood on the island, followed by time to relax on the sand.
Afternoon
In the middle of the afternoon the speedboat takes you back to Cua Dai, and you are back at your hotel by about 4:00 PM.

Departure
